GEORGESBIGSHED is more than just a rumour—it’s a legend, leaving its mark on the Swamplands of Bickerstaffe for years. At the heart of it all is George, the mastermind behind the music, keeping the spirit alive.

Born: Rainford, January 1950
First Public Appearance: Rainford Village Hall, September 1966

George’s musical journey began in the ’60s, and over the decades, he’s played with some iconic names:

  • Fat Larry Boogie Band – Performed with the band until Fat Larry’s passing in January 1993.
  • Gravy Train (1975) – Contributed to recordings.
  • Frigging Brigadiers (1980s) – Involved in recording and radio work.
  • Space Alligators (1993) – Released the album Chicken Wire ’n’ Atom Bombs.
  • Poisoned Electric Head (2011) – Recorded with the band.

A regular on the live music scene, George has played pubs, clubs, rallies, and festivals, always bringing his signature sound. He’s also been involved with Dead Frog Studios and plays a key role in the annual Bickerstock Festival.
